Having struggled with weight issue for many years I was tired of the yo-yoing and decided to take the plunge.

I had my lapband surgery on 16th April 2008 and whilst being extremely scared and shedding some tears about the whole operation, Dr Daoud, his staff and the hospital staff made me feel more at ease. Needless to say my surgery went smoothly and I was worried about nothing.

Now one year later I am a few kilos off my goal weight having currently lost 24 kg and 140 cm. I feel like a completely new person and I look like one too. I can’t tell you enough how pleased I am with the result. I now have confidence, feel so much better in myself and can actually walk into any shop and pick something off the rack.
